- Nuclear power plants have very low carbon footprints. We need more of them and more wind turbines too. Then we use plug in hybrid vehicles (uses gas after first 40 miles or so) to get around in.

- Hydrogen powered or even assisted cars are a pipe dream. It takes electricity to create hydrogen, then you have to store enough hydrogen on board to go at least 100 miles before most people will buy one. This means high pressure tanks or liquid hydrogen.

- A gas tax will ensure the production of more fuel efficient vehicles. Give some of the money to companies like Aptera who are already on the right track!
